Dr. Magge’s expertise led to her being appointed in 2012 to the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Nutrition. She has numerous peer-reviewed publications in the areas of pediatric obesity, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes. She also was chosen to lead a “committee of experts” on pediatric prediabetes by the Pediatric Endocrine Society, trying to identify best practice for this condition.
