Myopia is a global public health epidemic, especially in Asian and industrialized countries. In addition to the significant social and economic burden, the pathologic complications of myopia are one of the leading causes of visual impairment worldwide. It is thus crucial to slow the onset and progression of myopia. This symposium will focus on recent innovations in myopia control techniques and management options and will present an update on the latest research interventions in development.
