Johns Hopkins Medicine Publishes New Edition of ‘Pediatrics Bible’

Pediatrics Bible

The 23rd edition of The Harriet Lane Handbook — a widely used, pocket-size reference book known as the “bible of pediatrics” for physicians around the world— is now available. Named in honor of Harriet Lane, the founder of Johns Hopkins Medicine’s first children’s clinic, the handbook has been published every three years for the past seven decades, since 1953. The guide is compiled and carefully updated by chief pediatrics residents in the Harriet Lane Pediatric Residency Program at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, in consultation with faculty and staff advisers. For more information on the updated handbook, visit the Harriet Lane Pediatric Residency Program website.
