I am are mean smith. I'm assistant professor of neurology at johns Hopkins University. I'm the director of urologic oncology at Sibley Memorial Hospital. I'm a co director for prostate multidisciplinary clinic at Sibley Memorial and also I am a co director of bladder cancer Women's Program. We perform a multitude of prostate cancer diagnostic biopsies at the sublime Memorial Hospital. This includes the most traditional prostate biopsy via ultrasound guidance. We also have some of the newer modalities such as the MRI guided fusion biopsy and also transparent real biopsy. Mm. I got it. Fusion biopsy is a more accurate diagnostic modality for the biopsy. We use the MRI images that are taken at the separate um time and fuse them on the platform to the real life ultrasound images that pinpoints the area of interests. Um and let's us target it and improves. Like I said, the accuracy of the biopsies by about 30% Transparent. We'll biopsy eliminates the risk of infection associated with the prostate biopsy with the usual trans rectal biopsy. This number is about 2%. With the use of transparent real approach. This number is close to zero
