The COVID-19 pandemic has caused us to pay closer attention to our own health and the health of our loved ones. For those patients with existing serious medical conditions like epilepsy, it's more important than ever that you keep in regular contact with your physician and seek treatment when it's needed. If you're scheduled to stay in either our adult or pediatric epilepsy monitoring unit, we understand that you may be nervous about staying in the hospital. We are here to reassure you that the johns Hopkins hospital continues to follow the highest level of safety precautions to prevent the spread of covid 19, You and all patients will be required to get a COVID-19 test prior to your stay on the unit. During your stay, we will evaluate you to determine how best to care for you while following all safety protocols.
